The following information informs you about the terms of business between Abacus Professions Finance Ltd (APF) and its clients.

HOW WE CONDUCT BUSINESS

APF operates in the market as a Credit Broker, we are not a Lender and we do not lend our own money.

As a Credit Broker we provide a financial brokerage services to business and personal clients (herein referred to as ‘Clients').

APF is not tied to any lender or group of lenders, we seek to source appropriate financial services and products for our Clients from a range of lending organisations.

The policy of the Firm is to provide our Clients an unbiased and impartial service and to recommend the most appropriate and cost effective financial products matching their declared needs, borrowing requirements and personal / business financial means and circumstances.

OUR DUTY OF CARE AND POLICY ON TREATING CUSTOMERS FAIRLY

APF is authorised for credit broking by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) who monitor our activities.

In dealing with Clients our duty of care dictates that in all cases the recommendation we make will be based on the best and most appropriate solution for the client given the information provided to APF.

In providing our services and support to a client we will normally request ‘Fact Finding’ information pertaining to the overall financial means of the Client, credit status and general personal / business profile.

All information provided by Clients to APF in this regard is treated as confidential and will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act as set out by the Information Commissioners Office under which APF is registered as detailed above.

COMMISSIONS RECEIVED AND CHARGES FOR OUR SERVICES

There will be no charge to the Client for the provision of our service.

APF reserve the right to receive commissions paid by the lender. If requested by the Client, APF will disclose the amount of any commission or fee it will receive.

OUR COMPLAINTS HANDLING POLICY

We undertake to provide the highest standard of service, whilst acting responsibly always. In the unlikely event that you do have a complaint regarding the service we provide on your account, please let us know in person, in writing, by phone, email or text message and we will seek to resolve your complaint promptly.
